# Mailbox Agent

> Set up an intelligent voice mailbox that does more than just record messages.

Set up an intelligent voice mailbox that does more than just record messages. This agent engages callers in a natural conversation, captures their key information, and sends you a structured summary via email -- so you never miss an important detail.

## Basic Info

Configure the identity and personality of your mailbox agent.

### Agent Name

A descriptive name to identify this mailbox in your dashboard. Only visible to you and your team.

<Tip>
  Use a name that reflects when the mailbox is active, e.g. *"After-Hours Mailbox"* or *"Lunch Break Voicemail"*.
</Tip>

### Welcome Message

The first sentence your agent speaks when answering a call. This should let callers know they've reached a voicemail and that the agent will take their message.

<Accordion title="Example welcome messages">
  * *"Hello! You've reached our voicemail. I'll take down your message -- please start by telling me your name."*
  * *"Hi there, we're currently unavailable. I'll make sure your message gets through -- what's your name?"*
</Accordion>

### Voice

Choose the synthetic voice your agent will use. Use the play button to preview before choosing.

## Questions & Email

Configure what information your mailbox agent collects from callers and where to send the summary.

### Information to Collect

Toggle on the questions you want the agent to ask. The agent will weave them naturally into the conversation -- no robotic questionnaire.

| Information                 | Description                                               |
| --------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Caller's Name** | Who is calling? Essential for every mailbox. |
| **Reason for Calling** | What is this about? Helps you prioritize callbacks. |
| **Callback Number** | The best number to reach them. |
| **Urgency** | Is this urgent or can it wait? Helps you triage messages. |
| **Preferred Callback Time** | When should you call back? Avoids phone tag. |
| **Company / Organization** | Where are they calling from? Useful for B2B. |
| **Additional Message** | Anything else to add? Catches important details. |

### Notification Email

After each call, the agent sends a clean, structured summary to this email address. The summary includes all collected information in an easy-to-scan format -- no need to listen to a recording.
